The Bloodborne Pathogens for General Industry online training is an intermediate-level course reviewing the basic safe work practices necessary to avoid exposure to bloodborne pathogens (BBP) on the jobsite. Participants can expect to learn about the different types of bloodborne pathogens, as well as the hazards associated with them

ClickSafety’s online Bloodborne Pathogens for General Industry course identifies the primary BBP and the steps one must take in the event of accidental exposure. Participants are encouraged to increase individual education regarding BBPs by reviewing the reference guides 29 CFR 1910.1030. Specific course topics include the following:

  • Overview of BBP
  • Introduction to BBP
  • Transmission of BBP
  • Three major types of BBP
  • Prevention/control of exposure
  • Accidents and incidents
