Meet Our Leadership Team

Russ Bartholomew

Based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Russ has served as CORE Safety’s President since the company’s inception in 2009. Russ has over 22 years of experience and is highly skilled in the development of corporate safety programs. Russ has spent much of his career helping employers deal with large insurance losses and training supervisors and leadership on the cost benefits of an effective safety program and culture. Russ has successfully administered several owner controlled insurance programs and is experienced in the development of loss control programs to aggressively manage claims. He continues to be a leader in the safety community and participates in many local safety committees including the Associated General Contractors, the American Society of Safety Professionals, and the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.

Russ is a graduate of Indiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and Occupational Health and a Bachelor of Science in Safety Management and currently holds the Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST), and Occupational Hygiene & Safety Technician (OHST) certifications from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.

Kraig Kyle

Based out of Dallas, Texas, Kraig serves as Vice President of CORE Safety. In this role, Kraig provides leadership and support to CORE’s company growth initiatives and operational processes. Kraig’s background includes over 19 years of practical safety management experience that includes developing and managing corporate safety programs and advising client leadership on best management and loss control practices. He has experience in loss control such as worker’s compensation, general liability, and claims management. These experiences include effectively developing and implementing safety and claims management strategies on billions of dollars of wrap-up insurance programs. Kraig participates in many local safety organizations such as American Subcontractors Association, Associated General Contractors, Board of Certified Safety Professionals and American Society of Safety Professionals.

Kraig is a graduate of Indiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health and Safety Management and currently holds the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) certifications from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.

Scott Lydick

Based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Scott serves as CORE Safety’s point of contact for consulting services and focuses on developing existing relationships into lasting relationships with our clients’ management teams. Scott has over 20 years of experience in safety management, including loss control and claims management for manufacturing and construction industries. He is highly experienced in the onsite safety management of large-scale construction, hospital renovation, industrial retrofit, and demolition projects. He has developed, implemented and managed corporate safety programs, policies and procedures to impact overall safety performance. He has also developed and implemented job-site specific safety plans, fall protection plans, job site hazard analysis, and adverse weather plans for critical construction and demolition activities for pharmaceutical, hospital, chemical, and manufacturing industries. Scott is a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals, Metro Indianapolis Coalition for Construction Safety, Associated General Contractors, Building Contractor Association, Board of Certified Safety Professionals and the American Red Cross.

Bill French

Based in Dallas, Texas, Bill provides leadership for department operations and developing business strategies within the company. Bill is a multi-degreed safety professional with 15 years of experience in safety management, including loss control, risk management, program development and implementation, accident investigation and training. He has participated in a variety of construction projects including large corporate campuses, healthcare, higher education, hospitality and aviation. Bill is an active member of the American Society of Safety Professionals, Associated General Contractors, National Registry of Environmental Professionals and the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.

Bill is a graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University and holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Occupational Health and Safety. He holds the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
