Advanced Rigging

The Advanced Rigging course is designed specifically for participants who have two to 10 years’ experience on a job with some exposure to crane and rigging operations. Designed to further the participant’s understanding about the crane and rigging industry, this course teaches not only essential equipment for the job, but their relevant applications.

This Advanced Rigging course will teach participants the essentials of rigging and crane operations, as well as particular equipment used in the workplace. Specific course topics are reinforced through supplemental workbooks and include the following:

• Multiple crane lifts
• Load turning
• Load drifting and chain hoists
• Jacking and rolling using mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Incline planes
• Managing the center of gravity across all multiple axes
• When to use particular equipment such as levers, jacks, and rollers
